You type a command to access the logs. More text scrolls by, most of it a garbled mess of characters. You can make out a few fragments:

Before you can read any more, the screen flickers violently and goes black. A faint smell of ozone fills the air. The computer is dead. It seems your only option now is to see what's happening upstairs.
